Sliver Pizzeria

Damn it is good to go here on the right day with my friends. I get 2 slices for under 5$ and it fills me up daily. However, there is 2 days you just CANT go to Sliver. Pineapple pizza day, and Sweet potato kale day. Other than that, this place is excellent.

The pizza was moderately good. This is one of the one flavor per night, vegetarian places that are popular here. I appreciate the green hot sauce, but it was not sufficiently better that I would leave my current pizza joints, with better flavor and / or more variety.

This is the most amazing pizza restaurant in Berkeley. Great vibe, modern design and fantastic ingredients.

Glad to have Sliver back in downtown (used to be on center st), but can’t help but be a little disappointed that there’s no beer on tap. They do offer wine at this venue, which is nice for people looking to have alcohol with their pizza, but is definitely a different vibe from the sports/pizza/beer feeling of the previous location.

That being said, the pizza is just as delicious as you remember. For the uninitiated, Sliver serves vegetarian pizzas that even a meat fan would love. There’s only one daily option, but it never matters what they serve that day, you are in fantastic hands. Servings come in single slices, half pies, and full pies, which all come with additional “slivers” (half slices) added to each - think of it like the bakers dozen of pizzas. This is the signature Bay Area slice and should be a can’t-miss spot for all who visit the Berkeley area.
