The food is delicious and consistently fresh. Make room for an appetizer and save room for dessert. You will want to try everything! You can't go wrong with the baby back ribs, the fried chicken, and the Voodoo Shrimp. And the house cocktails are tasty, too! Get there early tho and stay away from the popular rush times.
Great service. I ordered the buttermilk fried chicken. Baby back ribs. Jambalaya. Sausage.and hush puppies. They all were delicious. The only thing I didn't like was the potatoes that came with the ribs. Everything else was well worth it. I highly recommend
I was there with a party of four including a New York Times best selling author and foodie. Three of us ordered the gumbo and one ordered the jambalaya. None of us had dined at Angeline's previously but all of us would eagerly return. They have a decent wine list (I own a winery) but three of us went for a Louisiana IPA which was very good. I had a delicious sweet potato pie for desert and we all had chicory flavored coffee after dinner.
Love the food here, makes you feel like you are in NOLA. The hush puppies are super yummy. We enjoyed the Voodoo Shrimp, The buttermilk fried chicken and so much more. Every meal we have had has been satisfying and scrumptious. Highly recommend you put on your to do list and treat your taste buds and tummy to a treat.
First time dining with my wife. I had the short ribs and she had the catfish.
Ribs were tender, but didn't fall off the bone. This is exactly how it should be. Also nice and flavorful.
Catfish was nice and crispy and tasted fresh and not fishy.
Both plates were reasonably priced.
Atmosphere was good. It felt slightly upscale, but comfy and down home.
This place rivals Brenda's Soul food in SF. It was very good.
