Cabañas Cafe

Beautiful building right across campus in the Northside! Family owned and a great upgrade to what used to be Northside Cafe. My favorite dishes are their Baja fish tacos and all their breakfast, and of course their coffee 😍

Great spot to meet up and grab a bite for breakfast or lunch. Can sometimes be a bit long of a wait, but it isn't an issue for me personally. I usually get the breakfast croissant with bacon. Would definitely recommend.

AVOID DURING WINTER BREAK.

This place was great until they hired two new clueless people for winter break. I ordered a steak quesadilla which I usually get. As soon as I bit into it I knew the cook was new.

EXTREMELY OILY. Tablespoons on tablespoons of Oil dripping out of box into the togo bag. This guy has never cooked fajita veggies before.

NO STEAK. They are so lazy they used BLAND carne asada meat instead. Normally they cook fresh steak that is seasoned well.

SLOPPY QUESADILLA that falls apart when you pick it up. Hardly any cheese.

You couldn’t make a worse quesadilla if you tried. It wasnt even tried to be put together firmly. 0/10, avoiding this place till the normal staff get back

Also, WiFi was downgraded to 1mbps lol

Cooks are amazing and workers are super nice. Coffee is great too, there’s a little kick to it and it’s perfectly sweet. Not too bitter or too sweet. One of my top places to go now.
