Nichi Ramen

This place is awesome! Convenient pricing, big portions and the staff are regularly very nice.

I frequent this unique restaurant many times since I like the good mood that is characterizes this restaurant. The personel is awfuly friendly and skilfull. The service is pretty fast. Needless to say, the food you eat is first-rate. I frequent often and I was always pleased. The cost is fair. I suggest this place to all my friends.

I was roaming around UC Berkeley campus area after a excruciating workout looking for a quick bite. Nichi caught my attention with "Now Open" notice shown boldly on window. I have waited for this place to open for so long going back to last year. I was told they open quietly on July 12 shared with Subway under same owner. Seating high bar stools about ten can fit comfortably. Menu is budget friendly under ten bucks limited to either tonkotsu or vegetarian small or large bowl. Drink is either hot tea or kombucha. I got a small tonkotsu ramen added soft yolk egg for USD$1.25 more. First thing I notice is the noodle, they use springy noodle similar to what you get at dumpling noodle house. Tonkotsu broth was clear (I think shio) not as rich or hearty, it was a tad bland compare to what I'm used to. Pork belly was good though very tender had some fat yield good flavor. I've concluded that Nichi is still in learning stages, but have potential to be better. Nice friendly service made meal enjoyable something that I find rare in a place like this. The let down wasn't about service it was the quality factor in question. At least I got the chance to try Nichi Ramen before heading back to vegas.

my friends and i arrived just after they closed, but the male staff there insisted we come in. he happily served my friends and i very quickly and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. i liked the ramen a lot, and the drink selection is good too. comfy/cozy shop with lots of natural wood and fresh daylight. i like it!

I love this place. Everything about their ramen was brilliant. Their broth was light, the noodles were soft, and the meat was extremely tender. All of it was delicious, and I would recommend always adding an egg, it really rounded out the meal
