I like this Raman place. I eat here often. The tasty soup was not as salty as the other Raman places. The well prepared meat was very satisfying. The vegetable and free drink were big pulses.
Pretty good for a Chinese rendition of Japanese ramen. I tried the Kuro ramen. The standard portion was ample. The tonkotsu broth was nourishing, but lacked flavor complexity. Soup could have been hotter. Toppings and noodles were ok - one notch below authentic Japanese ramen shops in South Bay. It was as if salt and oil settings were turned down a notch to fit local Chinese tastes. The almond tofu dessert was excellent. Overall, for $8.50, it's an excellent value. Service was quick and responsive - excellent. I look forward to coming back to try their other fare (Japanese curry, etc). Solid 4 stars.
3/9/19 Update: looks like they've increased prices (50 cents for the Kuro). I tried the Tantanmen this time. The medium thick broth was excellent - they didn't hold back on the sesame or the heat or the flavors. Toppings, including the hanjuku tamago, was good. Clearly, the weakest part was the noodles. Even after I asked them to keep it firm, they were subpar. Overall, for around $12 for such a large bowl, it was still well worth it - hopefully, no more price inflation for a while. I'd pick the Tantanmen over the Kuro.
I love ramen, just as much as others do. I ordered the veggie miso and it was very delicious. It was a big serving but I was able to finish the broth, surprisingly. It's one of the best ramen I've ever had. The service was good, the server came by numerous times to check if all was well.
I visited again, this time on a Friday evening and it was crowded with people waiting on the outside. Keep that in mind when you choose to go.
Best Ramen ever!
The amount of ramen you get here is more than average. The soup is SOUPer good! Lol full of flavor, and the amount of meat is more than average as well.
They give you free milk tea and not just a little cup of tea, but an 8oz cup.
We had the Miso ramen (spicy) and a chicken curry ramen. Both excellent options.
The customer service was great, they were fast friendly and generous.
Super friendly staff and very kind. Food is always filling and delicious.
