I come here mostly for lunch. The Mala Tri-beef pot is recently added to the menu, and it is a bigger pot with the usual mala soup base. You may take out certain items you don't like but cannot substitute for others.

I ordered the Japanese Miso Soup. The soup is ???? The portion is quite big so you can share. There are some levels of spicy if you like it spicy.

You’re probably gonna be waiting for close to one hour or so if you come on the weekend. But if you come on a weekday (not Friday obviously), then there is no wait.

Given that, it was actually pretty good. We got two pots (the regular beef one and the mala (numbing spicey) beef). I think I’m giving it 5 stars because I like the mala a lot; we came here on a separate occasion getting the Tom yum pot and the regular beef, and that was only okay..

It’s definitely worth a try though if there’s no wait.

Good noodle house, food was tasty. Gimmick is they serve soup in a little wok with Sterno underneath to keep it boiling. However, I certainly can't eat boiling soup, so I had to ask them to douse the Sterno, then wait for the food to cool to edible temperature. So the gimmick seemed really stupid. That said, once it reached edible temperature, it was very good... Just not necessarily better than any of the zillion other noodle houses in the area.
