Food is as authentic you can get. This is a popular restaurant so difficult to find parking and tables. be patient and when you get food, thank Allah and enjoy that you can get this kind of food this side of Atlantic ocean saving you time and money that you don't have to go to Pakistan.
A big shot outs to cleaning staff who are very efficient and fast in cleaning up the tables. Customers are also accommodating by letting you steal unused chairs from their tables.
This restaurant is very unique. I was hesitant to come here at first because it is not traditional restaurant where you have a server. It is family owned and has been here for a long time and my husband convinced me to come here since he has come before we were married. We had The chicken rice and the bread. Sorry I did not know the correct names and apologies if I offend anyone. But the chicken here is amazing. You order your food and then you pick it up from the window and get your own silverware and they offer you a complementary tea which is amazing. You won’t regret coming here it’s a true experience a traditional Pakistani and Indian food. A lot of people from this culture come to eat here so you know it has to be amazing and as close to authentic as it can be.
Food is good here... It's usually crowded during weekends... If your order is heavy then you need to wait for longer time. Tea is also good.
Had beef nihari. It was good.
It was supposed to be medium hot, but I didn't think it was that spicy. I will try eating here again when I am in town. They have other dishes that look really good, too.
How I love thee Pakwan, let me count the ways... Actually, can I get one of everything? A Family Favorite for locals with big families, so expect a wait. Be polite, and don't crowd the pick-up bar and this could be you're next favorite.
