Ho Chow Restaurant（河橋村）

A top Chinese food pick in Fremont. Food is prepared fresh. Hint of hot mustard in the chicken salad dressing makes it a go-to appetizer. Eggplant is a great vegetarian option. Walnut prawns is a family fave. Good, attentive service everytime I have been there, and it's reasonably priced.

Ecellent service. There were 20 of us. Our boss ordered a lot of food. What was memorable were kumpao shrimp, walnut shrimp, 2 different styles of scallop dishes, string beans, mushroom. The shrimp and scallops are fresh and not overcooked. I would prefer if there would be less salt for all the dishes that we had eaten today. Chowmein was not al dente but too soft. Vegetables are fresh and not overcooked. This place is still very popular. All packed.

It was pretty empty. The food is good.

Depending on who is cooking, it could be hit or miss. Some days, it's 4/5 stars. Others, it's 3/5 stars. The service is quick, and the staff is nice.

In my opinion, Ho Chow has the best Chinese food in Fremont. They have weekday lunch specials and my favorite day for lunch is Friday. You can buy gift cards for friends and we quite often give gift cards for Christmas gifts. They do close between lunch and dinner. Good selection on their takeout menu and do not forget to have some fried wontons when picking up your food.
