Karikku Cafe

It was Friday evening and I thought about getting takeout from this place as I recently heard about them. It's a nice cozy place, to sit and eat as well. We ordered food online and went to pick it up. Their service is great and the food tastes delicious. We ordered Kerala parotta, Appam, Beef curry, Beef peralan, Thalaserri chicken biriyani, gulab jamun and ada prathaman payasam. Everything reminded me of Kerala. Soon Onam festival is coming and we already have a plan to order the sadya from this place. I will definitely recommend this place.

Our first ever dining in a Kerala restaurant and the experience was great.
First to be noted is the friendliness of the staff, especially the young man, he always had a smiling face.
The restaurant has a spacious seating arrangement.
Next about the food, everything had authentic Kerala taste. We ordered thalassery mutton biriyani (very flavorful), appam, Kerala parotta (soft and very flaky) and beef fry. A special mention about the lemon pickle that came along with the biriyani, it had a very homely taste. The biriyani and beef fry, both had a very good portion size. As my daughter loves coconut milk with appam, they were kind enough to make that too.
We will be coming back to try out more.

We bought vishu sadya take out from Karikku cafe on April 15th 2023. Initially we were a bit skeptical as this place didn’t have any photos or reviews online but we finally decided to give them a try. And we’re super glad we did that.

Each and every dish was prepared well and tasted authentic. They packed in separate containers which was super convenient for storage. The owner and family were nice and friendly people.

We have already recommended this place to our friends and definitely coming back to explore more food.
