    Try the Gelati. The custard/gelato mixture on the bottom is delicious. Try the Black Cherry flavor.

    There was only one person working when we went but he was extremely knowledgeable and quick. It was my first time and I got the banana custard. It was amazing and large. It barely fit on the cone. A great place for desserts on a warm summer day.

    We traveled all the way from Berkeley to Hayward to try this Rita’s out and was totally worth the 45 minute drive. Great establishment with water ice that my Philadelphian friend said “tasted exactly like it does in the east coast” (Go Eagles!). We got the mango with custard.

    I also wanted to give a special mention to the owner/manager of this Rita’s. Extremely kind person and definitely made the experience of this commute to get a piece of home even better.

    Will definitely come back again!
