Supermarket experiences are hard to review. It's a hit or miss thing. Mostly because it's an entry-level type of job. One day you get a really good employee and the next day she's gone. The produce here is mostly catered to the Hispanic population. I come here for the discounted produce. It can be cheaper than Safeway or Lucky's. Today I met a friendly woman who showed me how to eat fresh garbanzo beans. And at the register I had a cashier lady who spoke fluent English. The employees here are mostly friendly and helpful. Too bad there are no self check out stands.

Good price on most produce. Fresh baked products too.

Parking lot is so badly designed, I try to park further away from the stores. The whole center feels grimy but Mi Pueblo is the closest Mexican market to my apartment. World Donuts is on the other end of the building and has pretty good donuts. There's also a Japanese restaurant close to the donut place and a decent Vietnamese restaurant.

Update: Mi Pueblo at this location has closed and Cardenas has taken over.
