Roya Afghan Cuisine

I invited a visitor to Livermore to have lunch at Roya restaurant yesterday. The first impression as we came in was how cozy, neat, and clean the place was. The tables had white linen and also napkins (not paper!). We were greeted by the friendly waiter and soon he gave us the menu.The list was extensive but not overwhelming. The food soon came: the fresh green salad, then the entrees of lamb shish kabob, the lamb top with cooked spinach, the side dish of pumpkin, and three sauces for dipping. The lamb was nicely seasoned, succulent, and tender. For dessert, we had baklava that went really well with our second mug of hot cardamon tea. We enjoyed the lunch, and my visitor from Canada was very pleased and impressed!

Discovered this new place in the town. Kabab is fresh and juicy, lamb is amazing. Portions are perfectly sized - not too small not too big. The only cons i could think of it’s relatively small place.

Was bummed that they didn’t have vegetarian Bolani. However, the food we ordered was tasty. Bread served was cold. The sauces were tasty. Complimentary salad was fine, dough drink was yum. Kids loved Salmon And chicken kebab. Would come back here and recommend to try at least one time if not more.

Really good food... they get very good quality meats, and they cook it just right - very flavorful. Their flavored rice and Afghan bread are also delicious!
