Rusty’s Chophouse

The ambiance and service was wonderful, and I was excited to have a nicer restaurant in downtown Livermore but unfortunately we were disappointed with the food, though well plated. We ordered the prosciutto wrapped prawns, carpaccio and beet salad to start. The favor combinations were interesting but fell short of expectation and even over powered some of the delicate flavors of the shrimp and fish.

For mains we had scallops and lamb shank. They were both tasty but the rice was over seasoned and the lamb shank a little dry.

Hopefully they will continue to evolve their menu, but I will wait a year or more before trying again.

A bit too pricy. WAY too loud. People are packed in and it's so noisy. For a nice steak place there should be a better ambiance. The dessert was small but tasty. The meal itself (I had the pork chop) was awesome. The crab salad was not very tasty and it was bland. The app we had was average at best. My girlfriend got a shot of tequila (no price showing on the menu) that came in at $75. Yeah you read that right. $75 for a shot. And the waiter never even gave us a warning. $222 later it just wasn't worth the price. Overrated.

Top notch all the way. Excellent service and the food was spot on. I don't mind paying a higher price when the quality is higher too. Atmosphere was awesome. I will be back for sure.

Lovely black tablecloth joint with a pricey menu and magical food. I had the pork chop with mac and cheese. The pork chop was beautifully seasoned and cooked. My companion had steak and loved every bite. The servers were warm, attentive, and quick to refill drinks. I recommend this place for anniversary dinners and other important events such as business meetings.

Great Ambiance. Steak was superb. Desert was excellent. Got to try the bread pudding. You won’t be disappointed.
