“The frozen dumplings taste great so far and these dumplings are much bigger than most other frozen dumplings, and the price was great! Looking forward to trying some bakery products soon!”

“One of the popular restaurant chains originated from China. Authentic Chinese food. We came for lunch with kids on Sunday and it was not crowded at all. Seated near the window with nice views. Excellent service and soothing music. Will come back!”

“The best chat food that I had in the bay area. And uncle and aunty (the owners) are very personable and accommodating.”

“This is a good place to talk and enjoy Chinese style BBQ. The atmosphere is like the Ancient Chinese restaurant style. The interior design is traditional. And there is a Gil who is playing the traditional Chinese instrument. I really love traditional Chinese style building and design, so I really enjoy the environment here. The food and service here is normal. Not too good but not bad. If you look for different food here, the only difference is the Wine. They have traditional Chinese wine. (I am not sure about the wine, but the bottle is Chinese traditional wine clay bottle.) Really recommended if you like Chinese traditional style restaurant (not the food).”

“The service was friendly and fast. They could accomodate non spicy option for my kid. These noodles are more like dry noodle (only has small soup at the bottom). They were authentic Chongqing dry noodle with its signature spicy soup. The portion was generous. - A1 Chongqing noodle pea ground pork noodles (non spicy): the thin noodle was cooked perfectly (still a bit firm & had chew). The ground pork was very flavorful & tasted like authentic Chongqing flavor (had lot of earthy spices). When I mixed the pea with the noodle, it gave creamy texture to the whole dish. If I ate this for myself, I would ordered the spicy version but my kid loved the non spicy one. - A6 Chongqing dry noodle with ground pork: simple and delicious authentic spicy dry noodle. The noodle was firm yet chewy. The spicy sauce had good spiciness (didn’t me sweat but my tongue definitely tasted the burn). The ground pork was flavorful and they gave generous portion of it.”

“TLDR: food and price deserve 5+ but ordering and kitchen logistics were really bad at the beginning. We visited this place in the first week it opened. We arrived a bit late so our food came fast, but server told us there was a major mess in the kitchen and I saw servers struggling with multiple orders from other customers, so there’s still a huge room for improvement on logistics. Aside from that, foods are pretty good (very authentic northern China taste) with very reasonable price. I’d try this place later again, hopefully they could figure out a better service plan.”

“Very tasty halal Japanese food. We ordered Newyork steak dinner combo, chicken teriyaki sushi, yakisoba noodles and vegetable tempura. The entrees also came with a tasty and perfect miso soup. The food came pretty fast and the person/owner who served us was very patient and respectful. Everything tasted very fresh and yummy. We all had a good time there and would definitely be back soon.”

“Soft opening currently, ordered house spicy soup base, many varieties, flavor is good. Overall fast and convenient, even suitable for weekday lunch. Some dishes feel not fresh.”

“I find it funny how every single bad review on this place is that they have trouble communicating because the staff doesn't speak English well. They don't but they were super nice and the food was absolutely delicious easy 5 out of 5”

“Quick and friendly service, and delicious filling food. The only Polynesian cuisine I’ve had before is Hawaiian food, which is pretty different. I tried some of everything, turkey tail, taro leaves, chop suey, corned beef, lamb, and taro root. It all tasted pretty good, but I’d have to say my favorite was the corned beef. The lamb was also really good, and paired really well with the taro root. Unfortunately they didn’t have any bread when I went, so I wasn’t able to try that. Price is pretty reasonable, you basically pick what you want, they put it in a container. They then put it on a scale and you pay based on the weight.”

“Solid new hotpot spot in Newark! Sharing the plaza with Lion Supermarket, it has plenty of parking available. Decor screams high end faux luxury like many new Chinese hotpot spots all around the world. You sit and order via QR code at each table. What I like is that everyone can collaboratively order on the same tab from their own phone and see what has already been selected. Once you place the order you can still add more items on the same website. Prices are pretty fair for the bay area and are portioned well. They have 7 different soup bases to choose from and their two soup base pot ($13.98) is actually cheaper than their single spicy butter broth pot ($15.98). I was surprised by how flavorful their pork bone soup base was - I liked it even more than their hot spicy butter base! I ended up ordering mung bean noodles ($5.98) just to soak in that deliciousness for the end of my meal. Another stand out item I was pleasantly surprised by was their small chicken liver skewers ($4.98). Never had it taste this great and perfectly crunchy anywhere else!! I even accidentally left one cooking way too long and it was still perfectly crunchy and delicious! I would suggest skipping their self service sauce bar ($2.98 per person) as their broth is good enough to flavor the meats. I barely ended up using my sauce concoction. It does however come with unlimited fruits and desserts so if you're into that then $3 per person isn't bad. They offer several different qualities of beef from their regular supreme fatty beef ($10.98) to kobe beef ($48.98). I tried their lamb shoulder & marbled beef platter ($12.98), and supreme fatty beef and wasn't really blown away by the quality but again their soup bases made up for it. They have a lot of ingredients for all your hot pot needs. There were only 2 waitresses working the full restaurant for my Saturday lunch - they did a great job refilling the broths when it became low but flagging one down to check on an item was rather hard. My bill came with a 20% off promotion for their grand opening which I didn't see advertised but overall a great experience and I'm looking forward to returning!”

“It was my first time dining at the restaurant. I ordered catfish and sweet potato fries. The young lady was pleasant and helpful. My older took awhile even though I was the only person there. But the young lady kept me informed. The fish looked crispy and was hot the way I like it. The fish had a nice crunch but, for me, it was cooked too hard and was salty. Good favor though. I will be back to try other dishes.”

“Despite the limited amount of review, the food tasted really good! Much better than I expected. The service was quite and better than many of other Chinese restaurants. The pan fried dumplings were succulent inside and crispy outside. Defined worth a try. Will come back a time next time stopping by Newark.”

“This place is EPIC!!! The fish and other ingredients were all fresh and so delicious. The chef was friendly and has over 30 years of experience. He also gave us some explanation of the food which was really helpful and interesting. Will definitely visit this place again!!! It’s just the best sushi ever 👍”
