My wife and I went to Dayafa for dinner and I will start by saying the food was excellent-- we enjoyed several small share plates that were outstanding in flavor and execution, as well as a larger dish of baked fish over rice. The atmosphere is intimate and it is fun to watch the busy chefs in the open kitchen. Unfortunately, the service in our experience, was terrible. It is a huge issue for me when the service is bordering on rude and inadequate-- it negates the quality of the food and I would be reluctant to return. We were seated by the hostess and waited 10 minutes before our waitress stopped by to pour water. I would not say she greeted us as there was no introduction of any kind. She begrudgingly explained how much food two diners typically shared and after placing our order we never saw her again. The food was brought out by other folks who were efficient and friendly. Throughout dinner she passed our table several times and looked in our direction but was merely going through the motions. Empty plates sat for the duration, as did our empty wine glasses. Eventually we tracked down the hostess to ask for our bill. At this point we saw our waitress again who wordlessly placed the bill on our table and did not verbally respond to us. I would say give this place a try. The food atmosphere are excellent. What are the odds you'll have our waitress? Hopefully you have a terrific experience.

Great food, so flavorful and interesting. Absolutely weird service. Well intentioned but bizarre (asking repeatedly to be reminded of what we had ordered, for instance; or dropping the check and then never coming back to pick up payment, despite us waving and trying to capture waitstaff attention). Oh, well; more time to sit and enjoy the pleasant room and marina view.

Very good food, we got six of the small plates with three pitas for two people. I would recommend getting slightly less. Sweet cheese dessert was definitely worth a try. Definitely not my best review but I would recommend to anyone who likes middle eastern food. I wouldn't really call this Mediterranean.

Food was delicious, authentic, and beautiful. We especially enjoyed the hummus with crispy lamb and the hot potatoes, though each dish we ordered was a winner. We were too full for dessert but will be going back again soon.

Exquisite. They screwed up and sent our food to another table. Best thing that ever happened to us. Our two ordered dishes turned into 5, 3 of them on the house as compensation for waiting. And the food is absolutely fantastic. The lamb hummus is a unique experience. They stuffed us full.
