Stop by for a tasty greyhound! It can get packed in the narrow bar area, but you can sit near the small raised stage or in the outside area and chat with anyone in the always friendly crowd.

Hip stopping-off point for people on their way to other establishments (I'm guessing). Very popular but very packed and noisy. The bar-lady was super-nice, though.

I visited here to grab a night cap. Really cool spot! They make their own grapefruit juice so a greyhound is the way to go for drinks. The decor is pretty crazy and ot attracts a younger, trendy crowd. Theres a stage for live music though nobody was playing when I was there. Staff was kind and helpful. I'll definitely be back!

What can I say about Van Kleef!!! Loves! The best greyhounds in town! They give you the biggest piece of grapefruit on the glass This place is so cool. The walls are covered in all kinds of funny art from top to bottom. We also love Dave the security guy at the door. This is always the spot to take friends visiting from out of town they love it.

The best bar in Oakland. A diverse crowd of characters in an eclectic setting. Their specialty is the fresh-squeezed Greyhounds (vodka & grapefruit) they serve.

Pro tip: There are several different variations on the greyhound. I particularly enjoy a dirty dog (whiskey, grapefruit juice, and bitters).
