Zachary's Chicago Pizza

Deep dish mushroom and spinach add sausage......there is none better.... we were trying different combos a few years back and we asked one of the servers what would be something good to try and they suggested that..... it's pretty much the only Pizza I ever order now.....and it is good...... a tip... if you take it to go or you have leftovers make sure that there's foil between the pizza and the cardboard.....it will stick

Can't say enough about this East Bay legend. The deep dish, sayce on top pizza is amazing. It does take a while to get your food but well worth it every time. The place is a bit small and you may have to wait for a table during dinner hours but go ahead and put in your order, order a beer and by the time your pie is done you will be sitting down and starting on your second drink. You will love this quirky spot and if you are a budding artist (or not) enter the art contest ad maybe your creation will find a spot on their wall.

We had a fantastic deep dish pie with mushrooms, spinach and anchovies. Great crust, the perfect amount of cheese and sauce was not too acidic.
So...excellent pizza, great service..but it was really dirty in here when we visited. On a certain level we could understand as it must have been after a major rush...but there's no reason for food service gloves to be on the dining room floor. It won't stop me from trying another time though!

Really can't say anything here that hasn't been said already. Amazing deep dish pizza and friendly, attentive staff. The only thing that keeps this place from being five stars is the wait, but that's to be expected when you're dealing with deep dish pizza and a busy restaurant. To their credit, Zachary's does let you order your pie before you're seated to minimize wait times, so big props there. I wish I could give 4.5 starts, because that's how close this place is to being perfect. Totally worth the wait!

My boyfriend and I are from Chicago and have heard about Zachary’s for the last two years. We finally made our way there tonight and were extremely pleased. Somewhere between the ordering and table service, our pizza order was mixed up and we ended up getting a pizza that had topping that I was allergic to. Our waitress was quick to resolve the issue and we received an extra pizza with the correct toppings within 20 minutes. Additionally, the manager was overly generous with discounting our bill and we left with more leftovers than we expected. Great customer service and we will be back!
