Arizmendi Bakery

I love this place - and so does everyone else! Probably the finest bakery in all of Oakland. Treats their employees well, and regularly donates to charitable causes. I definitely recommend calling ahead to find out what their pizza of the day is!

Great pizza and pastries. The chocolate raspberry scone was one of the best I have had in a while. Love the little extra slice you get with your pizza. 5 Stars.

I'm always happy with the quality of the food here. I often buy pizza, fresh baked bread and cherry corn scones-all delicious! I think they need to make logistical adjustments since their recent remodel. There's less room for browsing the cases and there are often people with strollers inside, blocking a large part of the available space. Maybe they had a plan, but it's not working yet.

Always busy. Favorite bakery in Oakland. Favorites include: daily Vegetarian pizza, special cheese roll, cinnamon roll with frosting, cinnamon and sugar morning bun, currant scone, peanut butter cookie, blueberry muffin… you really can’t go wrong here!

Tight space, so tables and chairs are always in demand. Fortunately you can always sit by the lake if you can’t find a seat at the cafe. I recommend parking by Trader Joe's where there's 2 hour free parking, because parking is hard to come by.

One of my favorite bakeries. They just did a big renovation and added some seating for eating there, but also a good quick place for take out. They have one pizza a day and one soup a day. They also have a range of breads, cookies, scones, muffins, and rolls every day.
