Mama's Royal Cafe

I have eaten at Mama's since it opened in the early 1970's. I was there when Spencer opened the doors the first week. The quality is still tops! Spectacular breakfasts. Eclectic, cool decor. Wonderful service. The best Dagwood Sandwich in the US. No lie..Get your butt in here. Come hungry!

Rather pricey (with some reasonable prices here and there) but WOW! Lots (tons?) of gluten free options (full disclosure: not sure if celiac safe, I still have to ask)--along with homemade GLUTEN-FREE BREAD that doesn't taste gluten-free. Lots of sides that come with the meal like tasty and perfected HOME FRIES, fruit, and gluten-free bread (that tastes so good you don't remember it's gluten-free.) Omelette so good you forget it's just an omelette. (Offered with sour cream!). Ample portions and filling (even for me, which is rare), it makes up for the prices. Nice and personable service. Thoroughly impressed.

Tasty! I’ve been here a few times and always delicious. Handicap accessible. Cozy, friendly atmosphere. Clean. Highly recommend this as a breakfast or brunch spot. Pay attention to the time of day as they close at 2:30 and 3pm everyday. The menu serves burgers and sandwiches after 11:30am. My omelette, home fries, fruit, toast, and coffee was $20.00 and I then added a tip.
