Guy is a health genius, he knows his stuff. Customized sandwiches with saved profile is awesome as well. Not a single chain can compete.

Great simple sandwich shop. And the proprietor is passionate about his sandwiches! He says he imports his turkey from South Carolina and has a special recipe for mayo. Default is served on a hotdog bun, not sure if you can choose anything else- next time I will ask. Cute neighborhood too.

Best sub shop in the East Bay, hands down! Been coming back for 25 years.

Bomb sandwiches and awesome guys that work in there! The food and the owners felt so East coast, made me miss Massachusetts!

Solid sandwich place. Perfect for customization. Guy at the register walks you through your options to help you build your sandwich the first time. Some simple yes or no questions (bacon? avocado?) or some choices, like which kind of cheese or mustard. And there are a lot of options you can choose from. They run through all these choices on a computer and print out your order to make sure it's right, and it sounds like they store it for any future orders too. I wish more places were run like this.

Can be a little easy to miss going past. There is paid street parking on the street right out front, or a lot behind the nearby Safeway. The only seating around is the benches on the sidewalk along the street.
