I've been to many Ethiopian restaurants all over the US, and this is the best outside of Ethiopia. The kitfo and doro wet are actually spicy, not the watered down ferenj version!

This was a very interesting place. The food was very good and nice prices. I enjoyed trying to eat with my hands.

This place was recommended by an Ethiopian friend, during our conversation I told him that all the European restaurant in the Bay area serves a very bland food which I feel is Indian food without spices. but a friend how you recommended that I should try this restaurant.

This is a small place in an Oakland we loved this place since it's gives you the feel of an authentic Ethiopian cuisine. probably this would be run by an independent owner. There was only one server on a Saturday night serving all the tables so service might be little slow but no complain about the host she was really helpful.

The food here is totally different than what you get in other Ethiopian restaurant in surrounding areas. I never been to Ethiopia but at Abesha restaurant has very good decor showing Ethiopia culture and love the food.

I would definitely recommend this to any registry and out there. This place is definitely vegetarian vegan friendly.
