La Perla Puerto Rican Cuisine

It was good, would have rated it 5 star except it ran out of Pasteles! This is the 2nd place that sells Puerto Rican food that I go to and I order Pasteles and they say they only have 1 or 2 or none at all. I mean come on. If your open all day, keep a good amount stocked please.

I personally I'm from Puerto Rico so I know exactly how the Puerto Rican food is supposed to taste like and seasoning at this restaurant is absolutely delicious before this wonderful and services of standing I highly recommend you check this place out if you really want to taste real authentic Puerto Rican cooking

Great to have the real-thing in the neighbor hood. The tastes and smells take me back to days when I lived in NJ. The chicken empanada is worth getting everytime. Go with an appetite. Portions are very family meal size.

I feel so lucky to have such a wonderful Taste of Home right around the corner from my house! The manager of the restaurant is extremely humble and very active in front of house. He has such a wonderful personality and the food that he create is truly a taste of Puerto Rico. It may be a little upsetting that the restaurant is set Within a convenience store, but I promise you but you will not be disappointed if you give La Perla a try. They have several menu items that are served only on certain days, so be sure to check their Instagram to see what is on the menu.

If you are looking for it and can't find it, that's because it's in the liquor store. This place is a hidden gem! It's essentially a food truck inside of a liquor store. Seating is slim to none, bit the service is fast and friendly. We accidentally ordered something we didn't want and ended up loving it, the chicken chicharron. I don't recall everything we ordered but nothing disappointed.
