Pupuseria Papa Chico

Finally tried it. Makes me remember what great food is like. Price point is a bit high but understandable in this current economic climate.
I will certainly return: especially once construction stops nearby and allows for more parking again.

The food is great! We ordered a large amount of food for the Christmas holiday and everyone loved it. We will be back!

This place is legit. Some of the best pupusas I've ever had. I stopped by the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon and ordered 3 pupusas to go: spinach and cheese, pork and cheese and jalapeño and cheese (not on the menu but definitely ask for it!). Staff was super kind and the place was really cute. It took about 15 minutes for them to prepare in the back and as I was sitting there, I could here the *slap slap slap slap* of hands forming fresh pupusas in the kitchen. The pupusas arrived piping hot and the cheese pull was insane even when I got home 5 minutes later. I devoured these! Make sure to ask for extra curtido (cabbage salad) and tomato salsa. I can't wait to go back!

This place is amazing! From the cleanliness to the flavor! So far my favorite Salvadorian restaurant! Their pan con pollo is my favorite and I could eat it every day, literally!

I’ve never had tameles salvadoreños like the ones at Papá Chicos, their masa melts in your mouth!

I honestly recommend everything on their menu!

I was searching for a pupuseria in the Oakland area and found this with great reviews and let me tell you this is by far the best pupusas I have ever try the curtido and salsa are delicious too great costumer service and fast service, price wise very affordable the only downside is the parking but as a restaurant they do deserve 5 stars + strongly recommended!!
