Very tasty and plentiful food, warm and welcoming staff. While I could probably find a meal at a lower price point, it is worth paying a little extra to support a new, small, local business. I'll likely be back, at minimum to see if they gave my music suggestion a listen (Dur-Dur Band).

I absolutely love the Swahili Spot! The food is excellent and the hospitality great! Ï had several different dishes and I've been happy with all. Ms. Priscilla, the owner even catered an event for for me. If you want really authentic Tanzanian food, this is the "Spot"!

This is possibly the best flavored African food I’ve had. I had the beef stew coconut rice bowl. The only thing I would change is if they would put more stewed greens in the bowl. The greens were incredible.
Tried them at their food cart at First Friday on Telegraph.
According to the owner they are open Friday Saturday Sunday from 11 to 7 at the Peralta location.
I will be making a special trip there, it was so good I have to eat this again.
