Wawa Thai Food

The khao soi was divine! A must try! We opted to try the NY strip too and we couldn't believe how well a Thai place did steak! It was perfectly cooked and a great portion with rice and veggies. We also got the roti as an appetizer with green curry sauce. I could eat those all day! Can't wait to try more of the menu! Hope everyone goes out and supports this place. It can't be easy to open a new spot in a pandemic.

Ordered pickup, got the shrimp rolls, Kai Soi, and Eggplant Basil with seafood (spicy level "spicy").

Pickup service was super friendly. Ready in 20min. Easy parking.

Everything was delicious, fresh, and bright.

The shrimp rolls were perfect: golden crispy on the outside with that delicate crunch and tender inside. Really yummy.

Eggplant basil was outstanding. Intensely flavorful and had generous portions of both eggplant and seafood (scallops, shrimp, muscles, fish). Everything was cooked properly. Spice level perfect (I like spicy, but not "thai spicy"). Came with white rice. Picture is about 3/5ths of the order.

Kai Soi (curried chicken noodle soup) seems to be a house specialty. It's for my wife and I haven't really tried it yet, but it smells wonderful and a spoonful of the broth was delicious. Note bone-in chicken leg & thigh (which we like).

There's love and care in this food.

We will definitely be returning, I'm looking forward to trying the green curry, crab fried rice, and... well, kinda everything. There's also an outdoor patio.

Finally a delicious Thai restaurant in Oakland! This is the first Thai restaurant in the Bay Area where I can’t wait to try again. Most Thai food is just fine, you know, the standard Thai curries and Pad Thais. Not this place! I highly recommend the Kao Soi. The chicken was so tender and not dry at all!
