A quality banh mi place! A little pricier than your average banh mi place, but worth it because all their meats are cooked fresh with such flavor!
Highly recommend getting BM1 (House special grilled pork banh mi) or BM2 (Grilled chicken). Meat is tender and flavorful, the baguette is toasted perfectly! Sandwiches are a bit thinner than your normal banh mi but slightly longer. What better way to pair your sandwich with some spring rolls and viet coffee?! The viet coffee is strong (will really wake you up) and sweet. The egg rolls (pork and taro) are SO GOOD! 1 order only comes with 3 though, slightly pricey but worth a try.
All their drinks come with free 3 toppings! I would skip the milk teas though, they are a bit watery. Definitely make your own che instead, if you wanted something sweet.
There is a $10 minimum to use card or else you'll get charged a small fee!
Drinks is too sweet (recommend adjust the sweetness level)
The sandwich is kinda dry but the meat has the smokey taste which was a plus.
Always a pleasure to visit and have some tasty food and drinks. I hope the change in owners does not affect the place too much
It's always a pleasure to come to Che-Lo. If you've come here more than 3 times Kim will know your usual order. Drinks are always great and refreshing, always worth the wait, because you can't beat quality and freshness elsewhere! Flavors are close to authentic vietnamese street food
Great little store to get a quick Vietnamese sandwich or drink. I usually stop here to get a Vietnamese coffee. (Very close to San Jose, or Orange County flavor and taste)
Pros: Family owned, and very nice owner that prides on service and your satisfaction; prices are very reasonable; sandwiches are very good in freshness, taste and consistancy; short waits and lines compared to their competition a few doors down - Tap Exp; free parking; always a table to sit at; store takes credit cards and cash.
Cons: Limited menu; some of the deep fried foods are a bit oily; the fruit shakes are a little too sweet for me; only the owner is there to help; no other employees.
Overall, a great place to stop by to get a bite and drink.
