Best sushi in Chico. Jimmy is so great!

Update: we've been going to Aonami since it was on Nord, and have loved every meal, date night, and family experience we've had there! The service is always incredible, the food is always delicious, and the atmosphere is ????. We love our boxes and follow their social media for the lovely little deals on specials and new items! Highly recommend! ????????????

This is the best place to have sushi in Chico. Not only is their fish sustainably sourced, it's some of the best I have ever had! If you are vegan or vegetarian they make amazing and unique rolls that are sure to satisfy too! The staff is always really friendly and helpful. Be sure and check out their happy hour too!

Aonami has quickly become my favorite sushi joint in town. It took one visit to easily dethrone my previous favorite sushi restaurant in Chico. Their rolls are by far the most creative, delicious, and original you'll find in this area. The appetizers are also amazing! In addition, they have Asahi, and Sapporo on draft, and offer a good selection of sake, plus a great brand of cider - basically, you can't go wrong with any choice of libation here. Aonami is without a doubt the best sushi restaurant in Chico.

I went to Aonami for the first time last night. I've been to a good amount of sushi places in Chico and this place is by far my favorite. I'd dare to say that the omakase I got was some of the best sushi I've ever had (and I grew up near the ocean).

Aside from the food being great, the service and aesthetic was stunning. Our server Justin was great so props to him as well! Oh and this place only uses sustainably sourced fish? Love it!

If you like sushi and haven't tried Aonami please do. They have cooked and vegan options as well so don't let raw fish stop you. I know I'll be back! ????????

One of my favorite spots for delicious Sushi. Got there near seven, it wasn't very crowded. Service is typically great. Prices are decent for the quality. Reminds me of a place in New York I loved to visit.
