Celestino's | Pasta & Pizza

I was born and raised in NY so I know what great pizza is supposed to taste like. This place has the closest thing to authentic NY pizza in California. The staff is ALWAYS on it, these guys and gals NEVER sit still, they are always moving. If they aren't cooking they are cleaning. Great people here, thanks!

So I'm giving this three stars because the Downtown location is definitely 5 stars BUT the East Ave location is one star, so three is the middle point.

Downtown: Pizza slices are always fresh and delicious, salads are amazing, the staff is super friendly and on top of it. I work downtown and go here for lunch regularly.

East Ave: Its almost like this is owned by different people. The pizza slices are always either super old, where reheating doesn't even save them, or super soggy (sometimes because it's undercooked and sometimes because it's so greasy). I've had nothing but disappointment from this location; the staff are rude, indifferent, and inappropriate. Not impressed at all and I feel like they are doing the original downtown location a disservice by being so bad.

Pesto pizza is amazing. If you like pesto I recommend trying this one. I bet you'll love it ????

Good pizza, high prices, terrible service. The kids that work there are over-dabbing or something. Delivery takes forever, and pick up isn't much better. Last time I had to remind them like 5 times what the order was while I waited. It was on a piece of paper in front of them...smh. Also had them deliver pizzas burned black, which is not super observant. But, when it's good, it's good, so we come back...not very often, but we do.

I just wanted to leave a good review! We received our order a little late and wrong, which I was totally okay with. And the young gentleman went out of his way to come back and bring the correct item without us even requesting it! I wish I remembered his name so I could notify the manager, The was really nice of him! Celestino’s is by far my favorite pizza!
