Great Harvest Bread Co

My first visit to Great Harvest Bread Co located at Esplanade and East Lassen intersection, immediately past the stoplight,on the left while heading south, in a smallish CVS helmed shopping center, next to Dominos.
Fresh truly Homemade bread, hearty, tasty, perfectly textured. I bought turkey cranberry sandwich on the old fashioned white. Bread held shape, not doughy or breaking into pieces. Interior ingredients clean, fresh, layered so all textures enjoyed. Lovely menu options including build your own. I know the white will toast perfectly. My partner order multi grain with egg salad. Enjoyed very much.

Homemade choc chip cookie tasty, chewy, good quality chips, caramel hints for butter and sugar. No stinting on ingredients. Flavorful robust hot drip coffee.
Clean setup. Sandwich makers not handling money for example.
We can no longer ingest pepper, but they don't preseason with it like most places. But they have tasty seasoned offerings for those who can.
Service was friendly, thoughtful and informative re products.
Moderate pricing reflects costs to run a Calif businrss, staff and provide quality food.
Looking forward to returning and buying loaves of bread also.

I’ve gotten bread here for awhile I’m a fan of all of their wheats but especially Dakota and Whole Grain Goodness. Recently discovered their lattes. Can’t believe I’ve been missing out. It’s good and so fast, it’s faster than any of the drive throughs to stop here before work. Green eggs and ham breakfast sandwich is 👍

It's the first time we've been to this place. The coffees that we got were really flavorful, and the ham and cheese roll thingy was yummy. I don't know how the employees normally are, but we weren't greeted when we walked in. Not a hey, hello or good morning. Maybe it was a rough morning ? We were the only ones there (at about 9:30 a.m.) but there were about 10 people within 20 minutes.

The Chico Chicken Salad and Turkey with cranberry and cream cheese are my favorite sandwiches so far.

The honey whole wheat and sourdough are excellent bread choices.

Staff is friendly and helpful.

It does get expensive. A sandwich alone can get close to $15 with tip and tax. So I have not been able to afford much else. The baked goods look tasty though.

The sandwiches are well-made and satisfying. Much better than the sandwiches I can make for myself, and the ingredients are fresh and fantastic.

The staff is friendly, and the bakery is a great addition to add stuff to your sandwich order.
