Best place in town
Super tasty food, cheap as well.
Carne asada fries are great!
Edit: Heavily reduced portions with no change to price, too far to link it to covid or inflation. Food still tastes good, however it often lacks consistency between visits.
Chico's "Street Taco" experience is severely in trouble, and Juanito's can be attributed with it. I went to this truck, on a Tuesday, to try it for the 1st time. I ordered 3 chicken, 3 Carne asada, and 2 carnitas ($1.50 ea. -shrimp IS an option, but more expensive). I immediately saw that, like most, the tacos are haphazardly tossed on the plates, then smothered with a green sauce...a SURE sign the meat is dry and/or bland tasting. I was right on both accounts! The chicken was shredded, but clumped, the beef had a buttery taste, but little else, and the pork tasted the worst... just plain!! It's getting harder to find tasty, marinated meat and cheap tacos on a "Taco Tuesday" in a college town. Plenty of onions, but scarce on cilantro, and radishes...again, whatever happened to carrots and jalapeños as accompaniments? Are my expectations too high...NO (read my other reviews on Google), but this truck will not be getting any repeat business from me. My next review will be in a restaurant...I have to mix it up from these trucks, as 85% are leaving a bad taste in my mouth and on my palate.
