    This is a fabulous hidden gem on the Esplanade. More of a Bistro than a tavern, the lunch I had was sublime.

    2nd visit and they keep delivering here. Definitely check out this restaurant.

    Employees were very friendly and respectful. However the ribeye was disappointing. It was a very thin cut steak, poor sear marks, and was very fatty and gristly. It was at least tender. For the price we found our meal lacking. But the waiter was very pleasant and personable.

    Excellent service. Management greeted me for my birthday. Nice setting and the food was Devine!

    Love Red Tavern. One of the best restaurants in Chico. Just got back from my wife's birthday dinner there. She had a Portuguese seafood stew and I enjoyed a short rib ragout over fettuccine. Good stuff!

    This place is consistently good, whether it be for brunch or dinner. Much of what they serve is made from scratch, in-house, and the quality of the ingredients is excellent.

    Another area where they excel is in service. Not one time have I ever had any less than top-notch service. In fact, I believe one of the consistent servers is in fact one of the owners, so you know they are invested in making customers happy.
