I have been coming here for over 15 years. Best dang hamburger joint from Reno Nevada to San Franscisco My brother loves the Willy burger it is a 1 lb cheeseburger my favorite is the Hazel burger and the handmade milkshakes. Pictured below is a Willy burger Yum Yum Good check out the bun on this thing super fresh i must go Burger Joint
I'm not a burger person - by default I end up in these places because of my husband who is. However, Hazel's is a place one must try (and they don't just serve burgers). Open since 1947, with a menu that hasn't changed much apparently, anyone who lives in East County needs to eat here at least once. You won't be disappointed with the great food and service. It is up for sale again as of the time I'm writing this and I am very hopeful the next owners will maintain the menu and throwback feel of this historic restaurant.
I am visiting Antioch and this is my first time eating at Hazel's. We each ordered a single hamburger.(1/4 lb.) It was delicious. Sesame seed bun was so fresh and meat was tasty, right amount of condiments. $4.50. While waiting we were talking to a couple that was splitting the Willy Burger $13.50. It was huge, probably the equivalent of 4 burgers. Hazel's has been there since 1947 and I can see why. Only about 12 tables and 8 counter seats. We will go again and try a milk shake, they're supposed to be great.
People if you have not gone here you need to definitely go here and split a Willy burger with whoever you’re with at least just to try it it is an awesome meal. Now on to the rest of the menu I would definitely always recommend the fran fries or pretty much any of their stuff have never had a bad meal here so sad to see it go from the original people that have made it what it is now today. I try to make every Wednesday A Willy Wednesday for me and my kids, I also recommend the tots just so dang yummy!!!!
I've been coming here since I can remember. All of the food is great and the shakes are handmade with real ice cream right in front of you (peanut butter or crunch berry are awesome!) If you're really hungry try the Willy burger, a plate sized monster of a burger. Current owners have put the business up for sale so get it while you still can!
