Isla Bonita

The carnitas are crispy, perfect and authentic. I love the jumbo burrito with carnitas, beans, rice, sour cream with chips n salsa. They also have a delicious breakfast too. That’s when I see it the busiest is in the mornings. Isla Bonita reminds me of one of those little family owned restaurants where you always feel welcome. I really enjoy the service the staff provides because they are really the most welcoming folks in the area.

Good old fashioned Mexican food. The facility is a dive. Friendly staff.

Island Bonita is an awesome place to eat. They serve Mexican food(to die for). Every weekkend my boyfriend and I eat there, or pick up and take home. EVERY WEEKEND.

The restaurant is small, not fancy but, the food is great! The staff are also very accommodating. They are happy to take your order over the phone to go. Take note that they close at 8pm.

Isla Bonita, put simply is a shining example of what I want to experience when seeking good Mexican food. There is a wait for a to-go order but for a good reason, the food hasn't been under red lights for hours. I have never been let down by the taste of my food and the dine-in service has always been great. Growing up in the city and now living 60 miles away, this is the closest I've experienced to the Mexican food I fell in love with in my youth.
Also, the chips are fresh and the bean dip with salsa while waiting for your food is most excellent! It's my favorite place, hands down.
