We are happy to have a ramen place in a plaza full of chain restaurants. Silverlake brings the Japanese fast food scene to a nice plaza and it doesn't disappoint. I think the presentation game could be better because they make you eat out of plastic bowls and disposable utensils. We tried their spicy ramen and karage Fried chicken. The spicy ramen is actually very spicy and I love it. Their charshu meat comes in thick cut, which I enjoy but is slightly less flavored than I desire. Nonetheless, it is an enjoyable bowl. The karage is nicely fried with good toppings as well.
If you love a bowl of spicy ramen, get it and get lots of water. You will definitely need it!
Recently found this chain ramen noodle place, more like a fast food station at Veranda, Concord. Was surprised to find out their ramen, including the broth, pork belly, chicken karaga, and even curly fries are so delicious, better than any ramen restaurant in Walnut Creek. I used to have very authentic Japanese Ramen in Honolulu, where Japanese food was very authentic and popular. I’d say this ramen place can rank top 5 on my fav ramen list.
Solid ramen. Tasty tonkatsu broth. Firm noodles, shoyu egg could have been custardy. Edmamame was hot and had nice chunks of kosher salt on it. Great service and quick!
Some of the better ramen broths in the area. Customer service is always amazing. It’s fast casual dining so never a wait. The portion sizes however are inconsistent. But that won’t stop me from being a frequent visitor.
Delicious, big bowls of ramen. You can choose pork belly, chicken or tofu as your protein. Completely vegetarian option also available. They also offer rice bowls and appetizers like edamame, curly fries and chicken karaage. The only thing is that the tables are outdoors, so when it’s raining or cold, it’s not a great dining experience, although they do have heaters available.
