I go here almost weekly. There's a laundromat a few doors down so it's the perfect place the grab a bite to eat while my close are in the wash, even if the staff probably thinks I'm terribly antisocial for leaving the restaurant thirty minutes in to move the laundry along.

The food here is delicious! I definitely recommend the po-boys. They seem expensive, but you don't need to get the full one - a half sandwich and a side is plenty of food, trust me. Those po-boys are hefty. They also have the best garlic mashed potatoes in town. Get any other side and you'll be disappointed. They also serve fresh beignets.

The reason I knock them down to 4 stars is that service is always slow, no matter how crowded. This isn't an issue for me since I'm stuck there for an hour and a half waiting for the laundry to be done, but could be an issue if your hungry and have places to be. The servers are friendly however.

Also, the garlic mashed potatoes are delicious but they frequently run out, as well as other items. This is understandable, especially later in the night, so I advise coming earlier while most of the menu options are still available.

My friend and I thought about coming here to dine. It was Fat Tuesday yesterday and we wanted to get into Mardi Gras and eat tasty cuisine. Well we came this evening after work. From the outside, it was ordinary, sitting in an older strip mall. But once you open that door, it is a small restaurant, with NOLA-themed decorations, unpretentious and simple, with absolutely delicious cuisine. I had the seafood gumbo, large bowl, and it was delicious! My friend had half a bowl of the red beans and rice with an order of grilled chicken thigh. He said it was good, but not as good as the gumbo. They served our meal with toasted sweet bread. Taste good, nice crunch. I like having beer on most dinners, so I had Albita IPA; it was a nice match to the gumbo. By the end of dinner, we were too full to indulge in beignets and Cafe du Monde. They also have red velvet cake and pecan pie. That we will do another time. By the time we were leaving, it was filling up with diners. Bring cash BTW, as they don't take credit cards. Also, Mondays and Tuesdays they're not open. Definitely coming back! ????

The food was good. I enjoyed the chicken and waffles. The catfish was delicious, just a little spicy. But overall great. Look out for the 18 percent surcharge. Not my mother's cooking but it's will go back.

Great food. The real deal. If you're looking for some really good shrimp and grits, you won't be disappointed. Best beignets I've had outside of Nawlins!

I love this place. The hostess/waitress is charming. The food is excellent. My friend had gumbo, which he loved, and I had a special with 2 pieces of fried chicken, a bowl of red beans and rice, and cheese grits. Everything was spicy (not the grits) and delicious. I always look forward to eating here.
