Taqueria El Farolito

Best Mexican food in the area. Been going there 10+ years, never disappointed

I must say after years of going to El Farolito in Concord and Oakland, my last visit was the only time that I've been dissatisfied. I ordered my usual Burrito and it was very disappointing. It had no flavor whatsoever. I don't know if it was just a off day for the cook or if the quality has gone down. I'll try it one more time to see how it is. If it's not good, then I won't go back to the Concord location any more. The Oakland location is very good every time I've gone, for the last 30 plus years! I've never been disappointed at the Oakland location.

Best inexpensive Mexican food. I don't live in this city. But about 30 miles away. However I try to make it a point the swing through here at least once a month. My personal favorite is the Susa quesadilla. I usually get the chicken. It is enough to feed 1 280 lb man or two normal people. The food comes with chips and salsa for free. The chips aren't much to talk about. But the salsa bar is all homemade oh, a little on the spicy side. But better than much more expensive restaurants salsa. Over the years I have tried 8 or 10 different dishes and always enjoyed what they had. The fiesta resistance is the green chili and avocado salsa. It is to die for. Makes those Bland chips amazing and their wonderful food even better
