Sideboard Danville

Quirky cafe that you wouldn't guess was a cafe from the front. Stopped here for dinner before a book signing and was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. Homemade crispy potato chips! I definitely want to stop back when the weather is better to chill on their back patio.

We love eating here! The food is so good. Local, seasonal, and very well put together dishes. Big portions too. My wife and I eat here just about every week. The food preparation changes slightly based on who's cooking, but it's always delicious. Be sure to bring a warm coat in the winter. They don't heat the restaurant, which is a little strange, but they do have community blankets you can cover up with.

Kale chips was good, large portion. The lasagna was very good for those that don't eat meat. Went after peak time so service was fast and found a table

Awesome American style food and great atmosphere, especially during the warmer months when they have live bands on Wednesday nights. Have some of the best selections of micro brews that they rotate on the menu. Softshell crab sandwich is ridiculous when in season and on the menu. Everything seems to be mostly "organic" and fresh. Only wish that they had more outside seating accommodations.

Great food with lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Homey and cozy. Vegetarian enchiladas were fantastic. Can also recommend the Sideboard salad, chicken salad sandwich with homemade chips, Pecan pudding and Vegan cheesecake.
