Food is great. I like this even more than their Pleasant Hill location.

This place has great food and great craft beer. My wife and I go there at least once a week. The staff is friendly as well. Highly recommended.

From the moment you walk in the smell of smoked BBQ rushes through your nostrils.
As I picked up the first rib the perfectly cooked pork fell off into my plate. The tenderness was excellent and the taste was as good as any BBQ I have ever eaten. The sauce was good although I would have liked to see something a little thicker and not so sweet. It was excellent flavor just not my style. The meat itself required very little sauce as the taste was true delicious smoked BBQ flavor. The place was very clean, nicely furnished, the menu was clear and the portions were perfect. Ordered a couple of side...Bacon wrapped jalapenos was full of flavor , bacon was cooked perfect jalapeno was slightly hot and sweet.... great job!!! Mac and cheese once again they hit perfection. This will certainly be my new go to BBQ place.

New to Martinez, but I've been going to the PH location since they opened. They've slowly expanded their menu over the years for the better. Smoked chicken salad sliders, the pit Burger, and prime rib are excellent additions to the fantastic meat selections.
The beer garden is great, as is the tap selection. It's better than most beer bars at times. HenHouse, Russian River, Fieldwork, and Revision to name a few.
The biggest missing piece for a Texas style BBQ place is fresh brewed sweet tea. Possibly due to California tastes, but I would welcome it!

The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was very chill. The beer and cider selection was really good, and I would come back for sure. Just find out they have a Pleasant Hill location so I am looking forward to going there as well.
