We have wanted to stop here for years but they were not dog friendly. Great news, they have new owners who welcomed us and our doodles. This historic stop is a must do on the way to the Redwoods or exploring the countless outdoor hikes. Enjoy a piece of history, nestled among the forest along a beautiful river. The service was outstanding, and the cocktails were perfect. During our visit we enjoyed live music while watching the sunset over the mountains. Life just feels calmer here. You can stay in the historic Hotel in the original rooms, or in the newly updated dog friendly rooms. This is a great launching point for outdoor adventures. We look forward to returning soon.

So glad we stopped by on St Patrick's day on the way to the coast. Good food and good service for fair price. Cool historic place well worth checking out.
P.S. I was told by the owner that rooms are in the process of being fully remodeled and will be updated shortly.

Great location. However, I have never spent the night there. Good food and full bar. Open Friday through Sunday.

I absolutely love this place! Not too fancy but also not too expensive. The rooms were clean, they had everything we needed, including good coffee. The swimming absolutely cannot be beat in summer, although the Smith is of course colder then some other rivers. But it is also cleaner. We were careful not to wear sunscreen so as to not hurt the fish. We had a great time and I look forward to returning next summer.
