The potato cakes are...different. I highly recommend the ugly fries as they were perfectly seasoned and cooked.

The buttermilk pancakes are huge and a short stack of two is probably enough with a side.

Can’t recommend this place enough and wish I were in Tahoe long enough to repeat!

Nice breakfast place. I believe open for the breakfast and lunch hours. Part of Heavenly Village area. Nice busy location with a good menu selection. Friendly, attentive staff keeping coffee and water filled. Even though it seemed busy the service was was good, the order was served in reasonable time and it was very good.

Came to Tahoe for a “day-cation” and was recommended by a local to try Driftwood. First of all!!.. it’s literally on a street named Heavenly! What a perfect spot!
Even though there were a lot of people, they were able to sit us within a few minutes. Much needed coffees and drinks were given asap & our waiter was so patient and helpful by telling us about popular dishes, the daily specials, & her personal recommendations.
How do you silence a table full of talkative girls? By giving them great food! Lol we literally just started eating and nodding in amazement. I even did a good food dance (shoulder shimmies & all). The only times we talked were for passing condiments around and constantly thanking our waiter. All of us enjoyed every single thing.
I am definitely coming back!

Driftwood was understandably packed during our visit. We checked in and were given a 30-minute wait-time, so we walked the nearby shops for a bit before coming back. The wait ended up being a little over 45 minutes, but they compensated by offering us each 2 free mimosas! Can't beat that. Food was great. Staff was very friendly, and prices were much better than we expected.

This is the best place for breakfast in South Lake Tahoe. They have amazing breakfast selections, including chicken apple sausage and turkey burger options. The portion sizes are great and pricing is good. My blueberries on my Belgian waffles were so plump and delicious. The service was excellent. Everyone was smiling and helpful.
