Dickeys Barbecue Pit

The meat there is delicious even though it is consistently on the dryer side. I prefer meat that is more juicy. The taste makes up for it. You can ask for slices or for chopped brisket.

I do not like the amount of fat that they include when chopping your meat and weighing it. I don't want to pay for chunks of fat when I buy meat. Also, the outside can sometimes be too tough to eat, but sometimes is flavorful.

The rolls are fantastic. Nice and soft. I spread BBQ sauce on them, put my chopped meat on top, add much more original BBQ sauce, a must have and make little sandwiches.

There are 3 different sauces to choose from. Original, sweet, and spicy. The spicy actually has the whole seeds from whatever peppers they use. A little too hot for me! The sweet is passable, but I like the plain old original. It is so popular that when I last went there, the whole container was empty and I had to go back to the counter to get them to fill my to go containers. The sweet sauce was almost empty and the spicy was the most full.

Though expensive, it is a wonderful treat for carnivores and I recommend going and trying it. I think you will appreciate it.

This Dickeys is much better than my local one. Service was great and brisket was just right.

I love BBQ, I love this place, but I can no longer eat here (Dr. Say no more fatty meats after my heart attack). Don't let that stop you though. Great place, great food, good prices.

I am not a huge fan of Dickeys, but this trip was fine. The meat was savory and for me, the two best parts are always the yummy rolls that come with the meal and then the free ice cream after it was all done. The wait time was nothing, we were able to walk right in.

I'm not someone who has to have meat all the time but this place is pretty good. Love the brisket, the fried okra and the baked potato casserole is amazing. Not only that but I have seen two different stores get slammed while understaffed and/or dealing with serious problem customers and the employees are courteous, apologize for the wait and keep working at a fast pace to get everyone's order out. I was pretty impressed.
