Wayback Burgers

Nice burger chain with great variety of burgers, sandwiches, Hot Dogs and milkshakes. Ordered the classic ($8.49). Burger was super fresh and prepared within 10min.

Taste: Missed a flavorful burger sauce. The sour taste of the pickles overshadowed the rest all other ingredients. Wished it came with raw onion rings instead of chopped onions.

Online order is available, so you can skip the line. Restrooms are located in the gas station adjacent to Wayback burger.

Wayback Burgers proved to be a nice surprise. We stopped on the way from Stockton, hungry, and definitely not wanting anything to do with the usual fast food suspects.

The menu is easy to sort: the main attraction is the burgers; a variety of favorites can be ordered, or you can start from scratch and create your own. There is a nice choice of toppings, from veggies to cheese and of course bacon. A variety of sauces are offered as well. Aside from burgers, there are other options including salads and chicken. Side items include homemade fries, onion rings and potato chips. Other than the chips, everything ordered tasted fresh and the burgers were really quite good. The ingredients tasted crisp, the meat was well prepared and not too salty, nor greasy.

Everything is made to order, so expect to wait a few minutes. Unfortunately the pandemic hasn't helped; staffing at this location was thin, causing two ladies to pretty much run the restaurant on their own. That said service was friendly. Pricing is reasonable and fair for the quality. While I can't say when I would next be in the area, I definitely would return.

The Buffalo chicken burger was an awakening for midday road weary taste buds! Great shakes novel sides...decent onion rings. Tempted to try fried mac n cheese...

Surprisingly good. They had a lot of customization you could do without it being a hassle. The meal was affordable. It was surprisingly good for an out of the way place. Doubt I'd make the drive just to go again, but if I was nearby or driving by I would definitely stop in again.

For as hectic and busy as it was, the employees were very efficient!! Ordering was very easy and direct and the pace they pumped out food was impressive!!! When we got our food it was very Yummy!! The burgers were so fresh and delicious, the chicken tenders were also so flavorful, juicy and crunchy!! Would Love to visit this place again when its not totally packed!!
