Black Bear Diner

The food is really good, I had the smoked beef brisket, it was so good, it was fork tender I had it paired with sweet potato fries and coleslaw, someone else at our table had the pot roast, it looked delicious. The service we had was great, very friendly and fast. I will definitely go back again!

I went for the first time last night to the one on Shaw in Fresno. I ordered the Pesto Turkey sandwich with onion rings. The bacon on the sandwich was thick cut and delicious. The bread was delicious and tasted fresh. Definitely not stale. The onion rings were crunchy but not greasy. They were perfect. When dessert came I was originally disappointed they were out of the strawberry shortcake, but I got over it quick. The bread pudding was THE BEST bread pudding I can remember having. It was warm, gooey, soft, delicious. I would go back just for dessert.

Jerry was our server, he was nice, funny, accommodating, genuine, entertaining. He kept up with our table and needs without being overbearing. He made the experience that much better. I would want to sit in his section again.

Overall, I would definitely go back.

Eating my food as I write this review, came in got great service, my waitress was very polite and had a great personality. I ordered off the diner menu and got the meatloaf very creative using sliced carrots in it. It also came with smashed potatoes and gravy, along with 2 onion rings on top of the meatloaf. My wife got the California burger, the sauce inside gives it the perfect taste for a burger if that style. I recommend if your able to try this place do it. The prices are $12 and up but the food and service is worth it.

The background music was fabulous to listen to & the volume was low enough to hear everyone at the table but still able to hear your favorite songs playing in the background. Thank you Black Bear diner for a very nice experience! I definitely will be back (tomorrow, I'll be bringing my parents & daughter)! I highly recommend Black Bear diner restaurant with it's hearty portions of delicious food for a great price. ????

First time eating here and will definitely be coming back. I ordered the California burger and potato salad. I was extremely satisfied with the burger, it was cooked well and the avocados in it were perfectly ripe. The potato salad wasn't as well, it tasted kind of bland. The customer service was great as well, the person helping us was very attentive and friendly and the wait time for the food to come out was pretty quickly.
