Amazing hand made greatness, definitely going to be making this a regular stop for the kiddo and I!
Great food. Great atmosphere. Awesome staff.
Family owned and operated I will drive from Clovis to Prather just to get her cream of mushroom soup!
I was test driving my car after it had been to the mechanic and, since I had not eaten and it was pushing 11 a.m., I was getting seriously hungry. I went through Auberry, and didn't see anything (although I'm sure there must be something there), so I started back down the hill and went through Prather. I eyed this place, but the signage led me to believe that it was a a caterer and a takeout place. But as I circled around again, I saw a sign up on the hill that said, "Breakfast." And that's just what I was looking for. Upon approaching, I could see tables so I figured I'd give it a try. I was greeted by a very friendly lady, who brought me a menu. The menu is not extensive. It's simple and covers the bases. I had eggs, hash browns and toast. I know--it's not very exotic, but simple suits me. The food was brought quite quickly and was tasty. One minor complaint is that the toast was served dry, with those foil wrapped butter things. And everyone knows that by the time you get the toast and you get the butter open, the toast is too cold to melt the butter. It should be buttered when it comes out of the toaster.
The ladies checked on me regularly to see that I was a happy camper. When I finished the breakfast, I perused the large cold cases lining the wall. They had everything from meals to go to pies. It all looked delicious. I'll admit to getting a lemon cookie and a piece of pie. They were both out of this world.
Bottom line--very nice people. Efficient. And specialties that will make your mouth water. Give it a whirl. You won't regret it.
The food is wonderful and the baked goods are so tasty! I ordered a cake for my daughter’s party, and not only was it beautiful, but the best tasting party cake I have ever had!! It tasted like a homemade cake with real and fresh ingredients. And, it was a very good price as well!
