The location of this restaurant is prime, ambiance is good but the food was just okay. We tried
enchiladas- tasted okay 5.5/10
Tamale - not up to the expectations 3/10
Pork bean soup- 3/10
Some cocktails
Best part about the restaurant was that it’s open until 9:30-10 and their salsa 😅 Very spicy (which I loved ) and chips.
The restaurant had great social distancing, the food was delicious and the menu had a large selection of dishes to order from along with delicious hand made tortillas, Bryan working the back bar area seating provided great prompt customer service
The Fiesta Grill and Cantina in Arcata was great 👍. The menu items to choose from was enormous. The skinny margarita 🍹 😋 was very tasty and highly recommend. The food was great. I ate the chile rejano which was great and my wife had the spinach enchiladas plate. The portions were quite large. The staff very friendly and helpful. We both highly recommend checking this restaurant out.
Holy smokes is this place good! I had the carnitas lunch plate and it was filled! My new fav for this side of humboldt county. Sorry no pics. I ate it all 😁
Update: new owners, new menu, same cooks. Fingers crossed 🤞 still very good!
Update #2: took pictures before eating it all this time 🤤
Update #3: yep, back for more. What can we say? We really enjoy their food
Update #4: did I mention we really enjoy the food here?
The Fiesta Grill and Cantina in Arvada Ca could easily do better with more attention to details. The restaurant is nice, but could use a freshening. Some of the plants could use attention, but the food has to get attention first. The Pork Tamale had no meat, it was only red chili spice inside (see photo), the only pork was the small piece on top the tamale; it was good so if they put some into the tamale it would also be good.
The Taquitos are too large and don’t have the crisp you want from a fried taco, I think they soft fried the tortillas then rolled them around the chicken to crisp as the cool into shape. The chicken was good, but the presentation and crispness was a fail,
The chili rellano was a single green chili from a can most likely, it was very soft and exhausted of color and flavor, then overly stuffed with cheese, and folded into an egg wrap, the rellano sauce was good.
The service was slow for not being busy, and did not seem very knowledgeable about the menu.
They kept the beer cold, so the Corona was good.
