It was a pleasure being here in Shelter Cove CA for the 2 months I stayed and would recommend it to anyone wanting to have a blast on the 4th of July weekend! This campground might even still be for sale for a few million if there are any investors skimming over my post. It has unbeatable ocean views from this location and even better views at one of the many "points". There is also a general store with gas pumps up the street for curious travellers. Hope this helps!

First time staying and loved it. We came in late around 2a but the host had late check in parking with tent camping options. Bathrooms are available across the street of the park as well as the park has bathrooms and showers on site. The views were amazing and the park was clean and quite. However, around 5a fishermen and fisherwoman begin preparing boats for fishing which can be loud. It was fun for us and we loved the action! There is a tackle store, a restaurant and general store that has a lot of necessities. The camp host personally helped us with some fishing products and suggestions in which was so kind and educational. Cannot wait to return.

Stopped in for a quick bite. The staff was very helpful and nice. We had fish and chips which were excellent. The burger and fries were great too.
We didn't camp but it was a nice looking RV park and amenities were clean. It's a beautiful area right on the coast and I'd probably stay if I had an RV.

My niece and I went to Shelter Cove so that I could show her where I used to go all the time as a kid. We went here at least once a day (sometimes three) and the woman at the front (blonde) was just so sweet and so excited to see us everyday. We forgot that they opened at 10am and we had to leave at 8:30, we were really bummed we didn’t get to say goodbye! Good quality stuff here and everyone is really nice :) thanks again for taking care of us!

For context: I was the one with pink hair and my niece and short and curly hair ☺️

It was nice to have a place to stay after the Lost Coast Trail, especially a place with showers. There were plenty of open spots but we were put adjacent to two loud snorers. I had to sleep in my SUV. My daughter and her friend were in a tent and did not sleep well. Our neighbor smoke marijuana. It was a smell I could have done without. It would be nice if they dispersed people more.

There was a karaoke night going on. Looked fun. It ended before we were ready to go there.

Bathrooms were fine. Wear sandals in the shower. Don't forget a towel and soap.
