The meals are good and the desserts are excellent, but the service has been less than stellar. The last time I went, my family waited almost a half hour for the waitress to take our order. When she did interact with us, she made zero effort to be kind. I have not run into a single employee that even pretends to enjoy their job in the slightest. Will most likely not be returning. Hopefully service will improve and I can delete this review, because they really have some good potential.
Fantastic spot for breakfast!
Our server, Jessica, took excellent care of us. Our water glasses never got empty. She recommended the biscuit and gravy plate, which was phenomenal. One big ole biscuit split in half with a sausage patty and egg atop each, covered in delicious bacon gravy.
Only complaint was the misters on the patio made everything wet. But that's a give an take. Be hot, or be wet. 🤷♂️
We'll be back next time we're in town.
Excellent breakfast and service on June 14,2022
My friend and I came for from Horseshoe Meadows from camping and backpacking. We decided to have breakfast before heading home. Great decision! I ordered a omelet, and they had corn tortillas available in place of bread(gluten free). They made me the most decadent mocha/latte in a large red cup 🥰. Wonderful service by Heidi. Next time I’m on the 395 I’m stopping here!
What a pleasant surprise! They are modest when say they are whipping up casual breakfast and lunch. Their biscuits, breads, sweet rolls, breads and rolls are baked by them, not shipped in and they build their meals around all of that. Portions are generous, easily feeding two guests. Ice tea is so refreshing. Service is great and friendly. We will make it a point to stop by any time we're in the area.
We started our trip in the wee hours of the morning and met here for lunch. We had a decent size group and they were still able to accommodate us. Some of us had burgers and some sandwiches. The burgers were delicious, juicy, not dry, full of flavor and hefty size and filling. I had the cheeseburger and others had the bacon cheeseburgers, all of them were Awesome Burgers! Our other friends also tried the roast beef with dip, breakfast burrito, and melt and they had nothing but compliments. This cafe definitely hit the spot after a long morning of driving.
And even though it was not a huge cafe, they had enough friendly and attentive staff. The food came at a decent time, especially for a group of eleven.
