I am a trucker. Parked at Pilot for night and Ordered takeout chicken curry, beans (Rajmaa) and rotis (Indian bread). I can’t tell you truckers about taste it was beyond my expectations - so delicious man. Just ask them to make it spicy. So good. I will visit here again for sure. Chef and staff was respectful and friendly. Great experience! Keep it up the great work guys.
This place is amazing. You may ask yourself why am I in the middle of nowhere why I'm at at this tiny gas station looking convenience store. This place makes excellent food . The chefs take great pride in their work. and our sample order proved universally awesome. In a sea of uninteresting fast food this homemade traditional indian food is absolutely fantastic. Caters to a vegetarian menu. If you're up for something a little different and certainly delicious give this place a visit.
Was driving up from SoCal to the Bay Area.
I missed my regular rest/break exit and took the next one.
To my pleasant surprise, found this Indian (Punjabi) gas station store.
They have a section inside the store where the sell freshly cooked food.
The specials for the day included "Rajmah Chawal" (Kidney bean curry and Rice). So we had to order that :)
Also got some freshly fried samosas.
The Rajmah Chawal was very delicious and had a nice flavor of "ghee" (clarified butter).
The samosas were nice and crunchy on the outside and the stuffing was tasty. I gobbled one without even dipping it in the chutney.
This store looked like a family run business and all the people were very friendly.
Now I have a new spot to stop for gas and food between SoCal and the Bay!
P.S: They saw my 3 year old with me and gave her a complimentary sweet (gulab jamun) :)
Heading north, we found a delicious lunch from the kindest people, at a dhaba in a Chevron Station. It was grand! We ate at a sunny patio under palm trees. They even brought us each a cool salt lassi.
We told all our friends in San Francisco and Mill Valley how much we enjoyed Aarman's food.
On the return trip to L.A. we made sure to stop again and pick up dinner to bring home with us, too! Aarman and his gracious wife make great home style Indian food, and we will find reasons to visit often. We love Aarman's style!
