Checkers

They have a great special...2burgers, fries and a small drink for $3.50. I asked if it was possible to get a larger size drink instead of fries. Was told they could upgrade drink and fries. I said I don't want fries so just give me the small drink. Ok .total is $6+. I said wait...it's $3.50... No..if you don't get the fries it is $6+. I got the fries and threw them away. How stupid...

Love their fries, burgers, and the promotions. There dollar menu is not clear. The heading says items started at$1 which makes sense, but then they have a $1 next to the individual items and they are not $1.

Having driven past Checkers several times, I finally decided to try this quaint looking burger joint. My experience was mixed. I walked up to the window to order and waited approximately twenty minutes for my order of a small burger combo.

On the positive side, the lady in the window offered me a refill on my drink, and was very apologetic. When my food finally did arrive, I was delighted by the fries, which were excellent. The burger was middling, nothing amazing, but a solid effort, on par with most burger joints in town.

Once in a while they will have a sloppy worker who doesn't really want to be working, you can just tell can't you??, and something in your order will be messed up. But, I like their burgers and their seasoned fries, and when the manager or owner is there he makes sure he gets the order written exactly how you want it! I really appreciate that aspect of that type work!

This place is always delicious! Prices are great, food is wonderful, service is amazing, plus they even make conversation. I love coming here and will continue to do so even though it's about a 15 minute drive from me. I love it here! Plus, it is one of the few restaurants with soft serve! Only $1! Highly recommend Checkers.
