El Sombrero

I went with a good friend. I actually enjoyed mexican made food. I always love eating chips and salsa/avocado salsa. Sometimes feel or hear noise outside this restaurant. It near highway 178 and also GET BUS pass almost near this restaurant. Very tricky small building; however, you enter and notice little large room. Good decorations of holiday days such as halloween and valentine day. Good work on making your restuarant looks shine nice. Good salsa.

Great service and a friendly atmosphere. It's our local Mexican food hangout. We almost always order the chicken fajitas and have never been disappointed.

Great food. Fast, and the old Mexican feel to the atmosphere sets it all. The service is exceptional.

Best in Bakersfield!! We have been going to El Sombrero for at least 47 years!! They have the best Chili Verde ever!! Their Special Burrito is the very best!! Also their Pizzadia is delicious as well!! And no other Mexican Restaurant has them!! Their salsa is great & their Margaritas!! ???? The owner is an amazing lady!! We love her, she always comes over to our table to welcome us!! Very personable!! This place is a must in my book!!! 10 stars!!

My wife and I absolutely love this little Mexican restaurant. From the moment you walk in you are greeted instantly by the staff. It’s definitely a small restaurant however there seem to be a lot of tables. The chips are fresh and the salsa is absolutely delicious. I like adding the salsa on top of my rice. My wife and I typically order the enchiladas because it’s hard to pass them up they are so good. We like that they offer tortillas on the side if you wish. The prices are really good for what you get I definitely recommend El Sombrero!
